So I got a phone call from Erik Marcisak last night and I’ve been dropped from Skeeger, the Above Kleptomania house sketch team. It was a bit of a surprise but not upsetting, as I was planning on formally taking my leave at tomorrow’s rehearsal. Our conversation was very pleasant: he said he thought I was quite talented and urged me to keep in touch and pitch a show to Klepto whenever I wanted. My reasons for leaving Skeeger are not personal: I just don’t like the way we’ve been working and favor a different mode of running a sketch group. I raised my concerns at the last meeting and people weren’t interested in changing our M.O. So Dan go. Live and learn and all the best to Skeeger and Klepto.
