je blog ma musique!

It’s Blog Ta Musique Day! On this day, around the world (mostly in France), approximately 74 bloggers are blogging about their musical endeavours and obsessions. Follow the link above to check out my counterparts’ blogs and find some new music.

One of my freshman hallmates in college, Colin Guest, introduced me to awesome electronic music and, with my help, sucked me into a black vortex of computer dorkdom from which I have, gladly, never escaped.

Colin and his friend, Kaushik, spin asian electronic sounds (e.g., Karsh Kale, Cheb i Sabbah) and their own bootleg house mash-ups in Washington, D.C. It’s awesome stuff and if you live in D.C. you definitely should check them out at Cafe Nema, Saturday nights.

Kaushik has an EP out and a website, Brown Sounds. Here’s a great sample track, Panchgani (right click to downloadlink removed. EP now available, visit brownsounds.net for info).
