On Monday night, I went home after seeing my therapist and got ready for the Neutrino show. After I ate some Chinese and dicked around on my Mac, I packed up my camera and girded myself for battle art. I cut my deck of Oblique Strategies for a random card, ‘be less critical more often’, and I left. On the Queens Plaza platform, I wrote it on my arm.

It was a really good show. I shot Bob, Rachel, and Eden Riegel and we did some really nice stuff. My favorite shot was in the 3rd beat; we’d learned that Bob’s character magically appeared out of nowhere to give advice to Rachel and Eden. I thought about how we could make Bob appear again and remembered that around the corner was a steam chimney standing on a manhole, spewing a great plume. We ran to it, I positioned Rachel and Bob and Eden, waited, and called action when the cars at the light pulled out, curling the steam down in their wake. Rachel and Eden ran past me and into the fog and Bob popped into view with his arms around their shoulders. It was great.
