I looked at the front page of CNN about an hour ago, on which the top story was Saddam’s arraignment. The picture was a closeup of him, looking fairly sober/dour. I just went there again and the picture’s changed: his hand is in motion, gesticulating strongly, his eyes wide, and he looks like he’s about to bite someone. i can just imagine the CNN editor saying, ‘he looks too sane here. Can I please get a crazy-looking picture of this crazy fucking despot, for fuck’s sake, or do I have to break some fucking heads to get a decent fucking homicidal maniac shot?! Thank you.’
